Make the most of your health insurance with Yunity Massage and Southern Cross Easy-claim.
If you are a Southern Cross member with Remedial massage benefits on your policy, you can take advantage of our on-the-spot Easy-claim service. This means no claim forms for you to fill out, and potentialy no need t pay the full amount upfront if your plan covers a portion of the treatment.
Southern Cross members can claim for remedial massage therapy with Massage New Zealand registered remedial therapists Level 6 or above if they have one of the following plans:

The Wellbeing 1 & 2 Health Insurance Plan with the add-on "Body Care Module", allows the policyholders to claim 100% of their costs up to $500 per year for remedial massage therapy.

The Health Essentials plan allows the policyholders to claim for 75% of their costs up to an annual maximum of $250 per claims year for remedial massage therapy.

nib New Zealand's Everyday and Combine Plans offers specific day-to-day modules that include a combined allowance for Acupuncture, TCM and Remedial Massage with limits typically ranging from $150 to $300 per year depending on the tier of your day-to-day cover.
Cover amount: 60% or 80% of your treatment costs depending on the tier of your cover.
How to claim: Pay your practitioner on th eday of yoru visit, then submit your receipt or invoice online through my nib or the nib mobile app for reimbursement.

UniMed (Union Medical Benefits Society)
UniMed covers Remedial Massage Therapy under specific day-to-day and comprehensive health insurance policies, such as the Health Positive Plan and selected Corporate or Hospital-additive modules, provided the treatment is performed by a Massage New Zealand Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
Plan inclusion: Available as part of everyday health/well-being modules or specific day-to-day subsidiary benefits (reimbursement usualy ranges from 50% to 80% of costs up to your policy's specific annual maximum limits).
Waiting Periods: Subject to standard policy waiting periods (frequently 3 months for day-to-day ancillary benefits unless waived under specific corporate schemes).
