LYMPHOEDEMA MANAGEMENT
Currently Not Accepting New Clients
Lymphoedema is swelling caused by a build-up of lymph fluid in the body. Cancer treatment involving excision or irradiation of the lymph nodes are the most common cause of secondary lymphoedema.
Lymphoedema causes swelling in the limbs and may involve the trunk or head. Other than swelling, lymphoedema can lead to discomfort, loss of movement and tissue changes. These can all impact the patient's quality of life.
Manual lymphatic drainage is a way to reduce swelling by moving fluid from the swollen area into areas with functioning lymphatics. MLD is also beneficial for other forms of lymphoedema (primary), phlebolymphoedema and venous insufficiency.

LIPEDEMA MANAGEMENT
Currently Not Accepting New Clients
Lipedema is a chronic condition characterised by a disproportionate increase in adipose tissue and pain in the legs (occasionally in the arms). This condition mostly affects women. The prevalence is largely unknown, and evidence has indicated the onset is likely connected to hormonal changes, such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause.
Patients suffering from lipedema will have a disproportionate increase in weight around the legs (bilaterally and usually symmetrical). This means your legs are significantly larger than your upper body. The latest research indicates this is a disorder due to abnormal fat metabolism.
Lipedema is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed.
